Games / Enlisted

Enlisted, played and written up
Enlisted hands you a squad instead of a body. When your soldier dies you drop straight into the next man in the squad, which turns death from a punishment into a position change and keeps the fight moving in a way most shooters never manage.
The battles are built from real campaigns and the scale is unusual for something you can open in a browser: infantry, armour and aircraft on the same map, with your squad sitting somewhere in the middle of it.
Matches last ten to fifteen minutes, which makes it the easiest game on this page to start when you only have one gap in the evening.
The parts worth the noise
- Squad command
- Historical campaigns
- Team battles
Who this is for
Players who want tactics without a month-long campaign. One match is a complete thing with a beginning and an end.
If you like a single hero character you grow attached to, the squad system will feel strange - the game is designed to spend your soldiers.
How to start without wasting a week
Play the rifle squad until the maps are familiar. The specialist squads are more fun and far less forgiving if you do not know where the fight goes.
Place your squad somewhere useful before you start shooting. A squad left standing in the open is six deaths rather than one.
